All new species of Lasiacantha are from the Carnarvon and Pilbara bioregions of Western Australia, where previously only one species was known. Further, half the Australian Lasiacantha species now known are from Western Australia. One of the new species, L. spinosa, has also been found in inland southern Queensland. This work also contains new collection and host plant records for L. pilbara Cassis and Symonds, corrections to the larval morphology of L. aureolus Cassis and Symonds and L. luritja Cassis and Symonds, a revised key to all representatives of Australian Lasiacantha, and a discussion of Lasiacantha host associations. Also provided are photos and mapped distributions of the new species and some habitat and host plant photos. %8 02/2013
